Is therapy right for me?
Seeking out therapy is an individual choice. There are many reasons why people come to therapy. Sometimes it is to deal with long-standing psychological issues, or problems with anxiety or depression. Other times it is in response to unexpected changes in one's life such as a divorce or work transition. Many seek the advice of counsel as they pursue their own personal exploration and growth. Working with a therapist can help provide insight, support, and new strategies for all types of life challenges. Therapy can help address many types of issues including depression, anxiety, conflict, grief, stress management, body-image issues, and general life transitions. Therapy is right for anyone who is interested in getting the most out of their life by taking responsibility, creating greater self-awareness, and working towards change in their lives.
Do I really need therapy? I can usually handle my problems.
Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you've faced, there's nothing wrong with seeking out extra support when you need it. In fact, therapy is for people who have enough self-awareness to realize they need a helping hand, and that is something to be admired. You are taking responsibility by accepting where you're at in life and making a commitment to change the situation by seeking therapy. Therapy provides long-lasting benefits and support, giving you the tools you need to avoid triggers, re-direct damaging patterns, and overcome whatever challenges you face.

Co-Parenting Consultation
The shame, stigma, and isolation surrounding high-conflict divorce can make co-parenting a dreadful nightmare. Too often the contentious struggles and trauma from overwhelmed and now-single parents whose lives are upended following divorce overshadow the best interest of their children. Although the agony of seeing your kids less, and having your life dictated by the Court's order—there is ambition for moving onward and defining your new norm. Learning to healthfully co-parent is essential to the emotional and physical well being of your children

My Approach
It is my belief that as people become more aware and accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding a sense of peace and contentment in their lives. However, self-awareness and self-acceptance are goals that may take a long time to achieve. Some clients need only a few sessions to achieve these goals, whereas others may require months or even years of therapy. It is my policy to only see clients who I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems with my assistance and who take an active role in their therapeutic process of change. It is my intention to empower you in your growth process to the degree that you are capable of facing life's challenges in the future without professional assistance. I do not believe in creating an unhealthy dependency if our therapeutic relationship does not reveal eventual insight and growth.

Long-standing behavior patterns and adverse perceptions that have held you back from a more fulfilling and meaningful life will be unearthed through the application of a diverse therapeutic approach. Anique's goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is celebratory. While one can not change difficult situations of the past, she believes that working together to better understand and resolve challenges in one's present life is eminently attainable.
